San Diego Wave FC vs Seattle Reign FC at Snapdragon

Regular season match on July 26, 2026 holds records, banger goals and wicked saves. Ainsley McCammon of Seattle Reign, a San Diego native, offered two goal-scoring assists to result in a 2-0 final. These two assists awarded midfielder Ainsley title of youngest player in NWSL history to achieve multiple assists in a single game. The first-half headers from Maddie Mercado and Jordyngg Bugg, also San Diego natives, retrieved their points in the 17th and 20th minute. And if one record wasn’t enough for Seattle Reign FC, Coach Laura Harvey took home league history by acquiring her 100th win as coach with the same club, a feat that no other coach in the NWSL is anywhere near close to reaching.

Reign keeper Claudia Dickey put on a show with 8 incredible saves, earning herself a clean sheet after coming back from an ankle injury. This would turn out to be her new single-game career high.

Although San Diego Wave FC kept the pressure and outshot Seattle 22-9, Reign’s stellar goalkeeping performance and early execution handed the home side their sixth shutout loss of the season.

Forward Melanie Barcenas made her 50th regular-season appearance for San Diego, making her the youngest player in club history to reach the 50-match mark.

Former FC Barcelona legend and world-class Spanish international Sandra Paños made her NWSL debut for San Diego between the posts at Snapdragon Stadium.
